A legacy of livelihood Creation
Why save Punganur Cows?
Saving Punganur cows is important for several reasons. Firstly, these cows play a critical role in the economy and culture of the Punganur region. They are used for both dairy production and as draught animals, and are an important source of income for many local farmers.
Secondly, Punganur cows are a unique genetic resource that must be preserved for future generations.
Lastly, Punganur cows are also considered sacred in Hinduism, and have been revered for centuries. Preserving this breed is not only important for economic and genetic reasons, but also for cultural and religious reasons.
